Warehouse Labourer

Advance Chemicals Ltd located in Port Coquitlam is seeking a labourer for the warehouse. Applicant should be able to perform the following tasks:

Package liquids and powders into bottles, pails and drums

1. Labeling
2. Cleaning warehouse and side yard
3. Operating forklift
4. Lifting and stacking 25 kg bags or pails

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

1. Have knowledge of warehouse operations.
2. Physically strong for heavy lifting
3. Forklift operating ticket and WHMIS certification would be an asset.

Chemical Process Operator

Advance Chemicals Ltd located in Port Coquitlam is seeking a Chemical Process Operator.
This position will work closely with, and under the supervision and direction of the Chemical Engineer. Primary functions include:

1. On site batching and quality control testing of the various chemical products manufactured in the plant.
2. Driving a forklift
3. Weighing and measuring raw materials into product batches.
4. There will be some heavy lifting of 25 kg pails and bags of chemical ingredients and moving heavy drums as necessary.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

1. The minimum post secondary requirements are a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or a combination of technical courses in practical chemistry supplemented with previous experience in a chemical manufacturing and batch process environment.
2. A good knowledge of computers and software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Mechanical ability and an aptitude for repairing valve seals, PVC pipe and hose fittings would be an asset but not required.
4. A valid BC Driver’s License

Delivery Driver

Advance Chemicals Ltd located in Port Coquitlam is seeking a Delivery Driver for the restaurant and laundry division.

Applicant should be able to perform the following tasks:

1) Have a valid BC driver’s license.
2) Physically strong for heavy lifting pails and bags up to 25 kg
3) Read maps and have a good sense of direction
4) Ability to make a route for the days deliveries
5) Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs on dish machines  

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

1) Minimum Grade 12 diploma
2) BC driver’s license
3) Clean driving record
4) Good knowledge of lower mainland roads
5) Warehouse and customer service experience would be an asset.

Chemical Product Technician

 

Advance Chemicals Ltd is a chemical manufacturer and product blender located in Port Coquitlam, BC. We are presently seeking a Chemical Product Technician for full-time employment. You will be responsible for product development and formulation. You will also be required to handle all chemistry related functions and be responsible for regulatory compliance.

 

The appropriate candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, a minimum of five years in the chemical manufacturing industry including some hands on experience, industrial cleaner and detergent formulation experience and a proficiency in MS Office.

 

Areas of responsibility include:

 

• R&D of new products and improvement of existing formulations
• Train and mentor product blenders
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Respond to technical questions from employees or customers
• Ensure quality control through employee training and product testing
