Advanced Microbiology for a Clean, Safe Environment

Our unique line of microbial products, offer eco-friendly, economical alternatives to aggressively dealing with many difficult waste problems… the same natural way Mother Nature does. Our key to guarantee your success is in our training and support in the use of our Bio-technology. This key will ensure our microbes will work for you in every situation.

Easily control and eliminate your waste problems, without toxic chemicals, by introducing our environmentally friendly, microbial products to your waste matter. Our products are easily applied without the use of any special equipment.

We have developed specialized products for:

Wastewater Treatment Products Wastewater Treatment Plants & Aqua culture - Reduce odours, sludge, fats, oils and grease build-up throughout sewer systems and in processing plants using Advance bacteria, an innovative, proven product for waste treatment plants and sewer systems of all sizes. Read more
Soil Remediation microbial products Soil Remediation - Our engineers and biologists help you solve your soil remediation needs by bringing the polluted, damaged soil back into balance, the natural way, using mass doses of scientifically identified enzymes and bacteria. Read more
Microbial products for agriculture

Agriculture - Eliminate controversial foul smells. Create healthier environments for livestock. Neutralize settling ponds. Degrade manure pits quickly. Read more

Commercial grease traps & spetic tank maintenance Commercial Grease Traps & Septic Tanks - Advance bacteria is proven effective in reducing odours, sludge, fats, oils and grease buildup naturally, without the use of toxic chemicals. Read more

We also have the capability to identify and grow biological products for specific needs.

Developed by a team of engineers and microbiologists over the past ten years, our proven effective products use robust, specifically identified and naturally occurring microbes that ingest specific waste products. The waste or by-product left behind from this natural process is primarily harmless H2O and CO2.

Our cutting edge products are safe, cost effective and control odour. They can easily replace conventional chemical-based products, which are often less effective, harder to use and damaging to the environment.

About Advance Bio technologies & Our Bacteria

Man, animals, insects, plants... everything that lives... will eventually die. During this cycle, each living thing consumes food and produces waste. Without the planet's smallest animals (bacteria), the rest of the world would have smothered long ago, buried in their own wastes. Bacteria, nature's house-keepers, have existed since life began. Bacteria work silently and diligently at a microscopic level to degrade organic matter such as leftover food, dead creatures, skin cells and animal wastes. These wastes are then transformed as bacterial wastes into usable substances like water and soil nutrients.

As the population increased, man began to farm, form cities and develop industries; but the accumulations of waste became too great for the indigenous (local) bacteria to handle. Man also created new substances that further polluted the environment. The natural process of biodegradation was overwhelmed.

While man was creating this additional waste he was also learning how to take control of certain natural processes. Man could turn grapes into wine, milk into cheese, and flour and water into bread. It was not until more recent history that the key to each of these transformations was discovered, the unseen bacteria. Once the power of bacteria was appreciated, a whole new field of biotechnology arose, most of which was centered on pharmaceuticals. Shortly thereafter an ecology-minded world focused on the bacteria's ability to degrade the unwanted substances that were plaguing the environment. The result was the emergence of the "bio remediation" industry.

The idea is a simple one; use natural occurring bacteria to give nature a hand, however the technology necessary to produce a viable product to augment natural biological degradation is complex. Nature has millions of different species of bacteria as they do not all eat the same things. The need, or lack of need for oxygen, certain temperature ranges, and moisture, can vary from one type of bacteria to another. Finding the ones that do exactly what one wants is like finding the proverbial needle in a haystack.

Safe bacteria must be isolated from nature and evaluated to determine what substances they can specifically degrade. The bacteria must be given the right food and a proper environment and then must be grown in mass quantities. The newly "identified and grown" bacteria can then be returned to nature "en-mass" where the problems are greatest. These new bacteria in increased numbers, with specific diets and hearty constitutions, can now tackle the big jobs. An example of this would be to consider the recent oil spill in Alaska created by the Exxon Valdese. Mother nature would have eventually cleaned up the spill but it would have probably taken a few hundred years to do so. She would have cleaned up the oil spill with her specialized bacteria that consider Bunker C Oil as good food, so to speak. Advance Bio technologies of Canada can now grow these very same specialized bacteria, once identified, in huge quantities. These bacterium would then be introduced in large quantities to the spill site to give Mother nature a helping hand. The site would be "re mediated" in a few short months instead of many years. This quick cleanup has also the major advantage of using natural occurring, friendly bacterium, to do the entire job!

The microbial culture products, identified and grown by Advance Bio technologies of Canada, contain naturally occurring, non-genetically engineered micro-organisms. These cultures are non-pathogenic and exhibit minimal environmental toxicity. These microbial products are mixtures of micro-organisms and may contain several different principal strains. All of the products are rigidly controlled for the presence of extraneous bacteria. Advance Bio technologies of Canada specialize in the areas of wastewater treatments, septic system treatments, agricultural treatments and soil remediation. Virtually any form of waste can be degraded by our, (Mother nature's), bacteria.

Bacterium used to create Microbial Products

The bacteria that comprise these product lines are generally 1 to 4 micrometers in length and 0.1 to 0.3 micrometers in width. Many of the strains are motile and can move via their own propulsion system, a rotating organelle, called a flagellum. The bacteria are thus capable of swimming toward a structure that may act as a point of attachment or a food source. Bacteria occur in three basic shapes; rods, spirals and ball shaped. A typical bacterium is depicted at right.
